Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), Finance Committee Member
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
Sen. Wyden discusses his views on health care legislation now being debated in the Senate. Earlier this month, Sen. Wyden voted for the final Senate Finance Committee health care bill that did not include a "public option," despite favoring a public option himself. Sen. Wyden now favors a health care bill that includes a "Free Choice amendment" that he says would make it possible for every American to choose the health care plan that works best for them and their family, including a public option.
